BREAST CANCER SURVIVOR PATTI ABBOTT PRESENTS CHECK TO LOCAL SUSAN G. KOMEN OFFICE

Patti Abbott, Controller at Central Carolina Air Conditioning & CCAC Building Solutions presented a check to Susan G. Komen Northwest NC for $1200 on behalf of their October “Think Pink” program. What makes the check even more special is that Patti Abbott is a breast cancer survivor herself.

Many employees and customers of Central Carolina Air Conditioning have fought battles with breast cancer and President Robert Allison wanted to do something to raise awareness to help out the local Susan G. Komen branch.

Back in October, Central Carolina Air Conditioning gave away free pink T-shirts to anyone that wanted to share their experience with how breast cancer had affected their lives.  Many women across the Triad shared stories of dealing with the breast cancer themselves or with loved ones.

Additionally, Central Carolina Air Conditioning sold T-shirts internally to employees to raise funding for Susan G. Komen. Employees that purchased the T-shirts were able to wear them to work.

Central Carolina Air Conditioning also pledged to donate $20 for every new heating system purchased on behalf of their customers in October to encourage everyone to “Think Pink.”

“We’re thrilled to do our part to help eradicate breast cancer and even more excited that the money we donate is used here locally in the Triad” said President Robert Allison.

Central Carolina Air Conditioning will continue their “Think Pink” program annually and hopes others will join in the effort to donate money to the local Susan G. Komen Northwest NC office.
