Terri Crawford: Volunteer of the Month
We are excited to announce that this month’s Volunteer of the Month is Terri Crawford! Terri has been volunteering as part of the Race for the Cure Committee for over 10 years. She is such a
deserving recipient of the Volunteer of the Month recognition.
Terri is co-chairing the Race for the Cure Committee for the second time this year. Many people do not realize that the Race Committee starts planning the September event in the winter. This hardworking group consists of more than 60 volunteers and meets monthly throughout the year. Terri recruits many members of the committee and provides leadership and direction throughout the planning process. Her longtime involvement in the Race for the Cure is invaluable.
One of Terri’s greatest strengths is rallying the community around the Race for the Cure. Terri’s passion and commitment to the Race is contagious. She draws others into the planning process, convinces everyone she knows to volunteer, and spreads the word about Race to individuals, businesses, and other organization.
The Race for the Cure is our signature fundraising event. The proceeds from the Race fund our grants programs, educational programs, and cutting-edge research to find the cures for breast cancer. We are so grateful to Terri for her dedication to making the Race for the Cure a success year after year.
